So you bought a real hair brush for comic book inking and are excited to start using it. First, making sure you know how to take care of your brush is super important for an artist. It helps with the longevity of the tool so you don't have to keep re-buying it and burn a hole through your art supply budget.
I will teach you how I take care of my brush before, during, and after inking.
You may be wondering what the heck did I do to my brush handle? It's simple. I needed to bulk up the brush handle because it is too thin for me to hold for long periods of time without getting a hand cramp. All I did for the modification was cut a pencil comfort gel, wrap it around the handle, and super glue it back together at the new adjusted width. Be sure not glue the gel to the brush handle so you can take it off if need to.
